根据国家留学基金管理委员会与澳大利亚纽卡斯尔大学（The University of Newcastle）签署的合作备忘录，双方共同设立了国家留学基金管理委员会与纽卡斯尔大学联合奖学金，选派优秀人员赴该校攻读博士学位。

    对于我校已经成功申请澳大利亚纽卡斯尔大学的学生，请于2008年2月底以前提供以下材料至：

    (Note only those applicants accepted by their Newcastle supervisors need to send their certified documents to International Division for an unconditional offer.)

    1. Certified copy of full academic transcript, evidencing award of degrees.
    2. Evidence of Satisfactory English (IELTS 6.5 is required to get an unconditional offer. Only in exceptional cases, special consideration can be given to outstanding applicants who fail short of 6.5).
    3. Research Proposal.
    4. Evidence of Completion/withdrawal from current studies.
    5. Certified copy of birth certificate/passport/evidence of citizenship.
    6. 2 Referee Reports
    7. An RHD application form (To complete all the sections of the application form, and indicate that they are being considered for a CSC place from their home institution)

    1. Application closes at CSC on 25th March 2008. The students (or the Universities nominating them) are required to present complete and unconditional offers to the CSC by this date. 

    2. Newcastle International Admissions to issue offer letters to successful applicants (or through their Universities) in early March (no later than Friday 13th March).

    3. Newcastle International Admissions to receive all the applications back from Faculty supervisors by 1 March. Successful applicants are required to provide the Application form and other required documents to Newcastle International Admissions before the end of February. The supervisors are required to directly write an e-mail of approval to Newcastle International Admissions for their applicants.

    4. Applications to Newcastle Faculty supervisors close on 1 February 2008.
