【机械与车辆学院】“新能源车辆及运用”学科创新引智基地学术报告

来源:   发布日期:2018-05-25

题目:Development of Macro-architectured Materials and Structures and Engineering Applications

报告人:Zheng-Dong Ma(Mechanical Engineering, University of Michigan)
报告时间:2018年5月24日9:00-10:30
报告地点:车重实验楼二楼学术报告厅
报告语言:中文/英文
报告内容:With the technical progresses, architectured materials are possible to be designed and manufactured with consideration of structure functionality and performance requirements. Using combination of multiple materials, macro-architectured materials could adaptively strengthen cellular structures, leading to light-weight and high-performance designs. This seminar covers the following topics:
(1) Development of macro-architectured materials;
(2) Engineering applications of macro-architectured materials;
(3) Industrialization and Commercialization of innovative macro-architectured materials in China.

报告人背景资料:
Zheng-Dong Ma is a senior Research Scientist at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Michigan, USA. He was previously an Associate Research Scientist at the Department of Mechanical Engineering between 1994 and 2005. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Jilin University of Technology, China, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Kyoto, Japan. Previously he was a Guest Research Scientist at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen, P. R. China between 2009 and 2012.Since 2007, he has been a Haitian Scholar and Guest Professor at the Department of Automotive Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, P. R. China. Besides, he is also a Guest Professor at the Department of Automotive Engineering, Jilin University, Changchun, P. R. China. He also holds important positions in many research associations. Zheng-Dong Ma has done absolutely excellent job in his research. Since 1986, he has been working in several research areas in the field of computational mechanics including structural dynamics, multibody system dynamics, coupled structural-acoustic systems, optimal design of structural and material systems, and digital vehicle and vehicle digitization. His major findings are summarized in 59 articles in refereed journals and transactions, 60 articles in refereed conference and symposium proceedings, 13 refereed conference abstracts, 41 non-refereed conference abstracts, and 1 book chapter. During the past few years, he has been invited for a number of seminars and lectures outside the University of Michigan, including Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan), Saitama Institute of Technology (Japan), Beijing Institute of Technology (China), Jilin University (China), Ford Motor Company, DaimlerChrysler, MSC, Nissan Motor Company, China FAW Co. He has also been elected as a member of the ASME Technical Committee of Multibody Systems and Nonlinear Dynamics.
